As a gamer, you need to be properly equipped.
You’re going to need a decent mechanical keyword and a gaming mouse.
Our experts spent 50 hours+ on a good range of Steam games – Dead by Daylight, PUBG, CS:GO, The Witcher and GTA V.
We did the hard work so you don’t have to. Here’s our best gaming mouse under 50.
To be as unbiased as possible, we also got your opinion. From a survey, here’s what gamers look for in mouse:
- Good grip
- DPI switching
- Custom buttons
- Value for money, in this case 50!
Demand for high quality gaming peripherals is growing lightning fast.
According to a study commissioned by Razer, last year over 2.1 billion people were considered “active gamers”—defined as someone who plays a game once a month or spends at least an hour a week gaming out.
Check out the projections over the next few years:
As demand grows, the quality of the product increases. That’s what made this one super hard to call.
Razer DeathAdder 3500dpi USB Wired Mouse (Newer)
Razer are at the top of their game in the gaming peripheral world, they almost have ‘cult status’ among gamers. The triple headed snake trademark is one of the most recognized logos in the esports and intense gaming communities.
What’s more?
Razer has sold over 13.5 million connected devices and has over 11.5 million registered users. And for good reason – the products are virtually flawless.
Anyway, enough about the brand, let’s get back to the product.
This gaming mouse is one we’ve continued using. In a nutshell, it’s great for big hands, tracking feels accurate and it’s attractive looking.
UNBOXING SHOTS
Here’s our unboxing shots. Stay tuned for the video.
FEATURES
Ergonomic Design
First of all, his has been primarily designed for right handed users, so lefties may want to consider the ambidextrous pick on this list.
We’ve used this mouse the most because it’s the newest Razer gaming mouse, we’re talking over 100+ hours and it is super comfortable.
You’re not going to get repetitive strain injury (RSI) with this baby, but in any event, we always recommend you to buy a wrist rest gel cushion.
Subtle Blue Backlight
For the minimalist gamer, this mouse has an attractive blue hue which pulses in and out. The attractive blue glow is on the mouse logo, showing off the prestigious Razer logo.
Personally, we loved it. It’s subtle and not over-the-top like some other unicorn colored gaming peripherals.
Lightweight Fiber Cable
Yes, this one is wired. If you’re an intense gamer – you will seek out a wired mouse vs wireless.
In the middle of a teamfight, there’s nothing worse than losing connection because your mouse battery runs out.
Anyway, it’s 7-foot long which should be enough to reach any rig!

CONCLUSION
This is the newer version of the other DeathAdder on the list. It also comes packed with more features such as the side mouse buttons (forward & back).
It has a smooth feel and the grip doesn’t have as much as friction as other picks on this list. Therefore if good grip is one of your definite criteria, this one may not be for you.
Also, we didn’t feel the need for DPI switching at all, but if you require this another Razer model may be more appropriate.
Other than that, this gaming mouse has all the features – ergonomic design, fast response time, lightweight and highly accurate.

Some gamers are subtle and some gamers like all the colours of the rainbow on their rig. If you’re the latter, the V30 is for you.
In summary, it’s attractive looking, the build quality feels good (not plasticky) and there’s an adjustable DPI key.
What’s more?
The antiskid leather texture design came in handy in CS:GO and first person shooters in general, where highly accurate mouse movement is essential.
Let’s take a look at the unboxing.

Here’s one of the best budget gaming mouses in the flesh.
What do you think? Share your feedback in the comments.
FEATURES
Adjustable DPI Key
We personally don’t feel the need for DPI switching on a decent gaming mouse. But some gamers view it as crucial.
Anti-slip Flanks
On the sides (flanks) of the mouse there is extra grip. And the mouse has been designed with an antiskid leather texture design.
What does this mean?
In the heat of battle, in that split second where you’re lining up the cross-hairs – you’re going to be the hunter. Not the hunted.
We loved the feel of this mouse, and again, it’s great value for money. If budget is your primary concern.

CONCLUSION
Motospeed, the underdog here has come out with a surprisingly high quality addition to our list.
One of the best features was the highly accurate feel as it has 3500 DPI resolution and a gaming grade scroll wheel. The scroll wheel came in handy when quickly switching to knife kills in CS:GO.
Recommended for the budget conscious gamer.

Accurately translate your every movement in whatever game you play with the 3500 DPI optical sensor.
As Razer put it, “truly perform as fast as your reflexes”.

Razer DeathAdder Ergonomic Wired Gaming Mouse (Classic)
The DeathAdder is Razer’s flagship product. We’ve already mentioned the newer version and this is the classic one.
If you’re sticking to a strict budget, this may the right one for you.
We did a bit of research into Razer’s DeathAdder model and how it features brand-new Omron mechanical mouse switches. Now, here’s the interesting part.
The company says each DeathAdder mouse has been tested to 50 million clicks.
Most other manufacturers test to 20 million clicks. This blew our mind!
Razer goes the extra mile to enhance the average gamer’s experience.
UNBOXING SHOTS
While we had already tried out the other DeathAdder, we were still excited to try out the classic counterpart.
Which in ways, is just as good. Just better value for money!

Xiaomi Wired / Wireless Gaming Mouse

Xiaomi, best known for its strong hand in smartphones also has a division which gives us fantastic pointing devices like these.
Actually, they’ve really stepped their game up in the consumer electronics market aimed at gamers. In July 2018 they released a new gaming mouse, the Y270 Lite. If you have additional budget, we’d highly recommend this beast – we’ve had the honour of testing this and decided to keep it.
But this one is fantastic if you’re on a budget.
One of the best parts is..

CONCLUSION
This is definitively Best Gaming Mouse under 50 we’ve ever had the pleasure of reviewing.
And guess what, we decided to keep this one for day-to-day use.
It clicks quietly and performs extremely well. DPI control is fantastic. Dual mode is amazing and you don’t have to worry about buying batteries any more. The material is such that it doesn’t leave sweaty prints on the mouse and clicking is extremely quiet.
One of the few faults we could find was the software is still in Chinese but we’re sure that will change in the future. Excellent all-round gaming mouse.
Let’s clarify, not every mouse in this guide scores high in all of these areas. This is a collection of the best mouses for gaming, given a 50 dollar budget.
We reached a decision that every mouse meets a good overall standard for gaming and as a result, will be perfect for the budget gaming experience. If you’re looking to up this budget, we have a post for the best gaming mouse overall.
Here’s the factors you need to consider when buying a gaming mouse.
Battery Performance (Wireless Only)
Essential. A wireless gaming mouse needs to have a decent battery life and power saving mode to conserve this battery. There’s nothing more annoying that being in the middle of a game, changing batteries.
Actually, the Xiaomi pick on this list has a rechargeable battery which is very forward thinking. Goodbye unnecessary battery wastage.
Buttons
Typically, a small proportion of gamers want a gaming mouse with more than 10 buttons.
As a result, didn’t include any. If you’re looking for advice specifically on these devices – let us know in the comments and we will cover it.
The maximum amount of buttons on the list is the Xiaomi with 6 programmable buttons. When gaming, we felt this was adequate enough.
Sensor
Our list contains a variety of DPI rates from 1,600 DPI to a whopping 6,000 DPI.
If you’re in the dark about DPI, or Dots Per Inch, it is the distance that the gaming mouse will cover when moved. In simple terms, a mouse with 6,000 DPI will be much more sensitive to small movements versus the 1,600 DPI mouse. It’s a matter of personal preference of precision.
In gaming terms, it comes in handy.
For example, if you’re in PUBG using a x8 scope attachment you’d opt for a lower DPI rate to take out other players. You don’t want a super sensitive mouse in those situations.
Winner winner, chicken dinner.
Aesthetics
Do you want a unicorn coloured mouse or a subtle logo backlight?
We’ve included options for both. So if you’re looking to chase the rainbow, the Motospeed mouse is the one for you.
The important thing to remember is, RGB lights aren’t going to help you rank higher. But, the majority of gamers we talked to deemed it as an important factor in their buying decision.
Construction
If you’re buying a decent mouse you want it to last 5 – 10 years.
They need to be built with a superior quality of materials and feel solid in your hands.
Bear in mind that every mouse has a lifespan in terms of switches – Razer mice have been tested to 50 million clicks vs the industry standard 20 million. As a result, they have more longevity.
The mice on this list feel solid and have been built with high-quality plastics. We’re confident from our own experience, and the community feedback, that they will stand the test of time.
